Products That Support Breast Cancer Awareness

By Jennifer Manfrin, BestReviews

Breast cancer touches the lives of hundreds of thousands of people in the United States each year, and it’s a leading cancer diagnosis throughout the world. October is set aside each year to shed light on the disease and emphasize awareness, prevention strategies, early detection, treatment, and education.

The month is recognized worldwide as Breast Cancer Awareness Month , with pink being the internationally recognized color of the effort. Whether you want to show your support of a loved one or display the strength that helped you through your own journey of recovery, here are some products from Walmart that will showcase your awareness this October – and every other month of the year.

Ribbons

The pink ribbon is recognized worldwide as the symbol of breast cancer support and awareness. Wearing one of these significant ribbons is also an easy way to show your solidarity with survivors and loved ones, and they are available in many forms.

Lapel pins in the shape of pink or gold ribbons are easy to attach to clothing, hats, jackets, ties, and more. For an extra personal touch, pink ribbon jewelry, such as pendants, charms, rings, and bracelets, can be worn to show your support for the cause.

Wristbands

You’ve probably seen people wearing rubber wristbands in support of a variety of different causes. They are also available in pink for breast cancer awareness, and some even come with inscriptions of encouraging words. Pink wristbands are also available in multipacks ideal for groups or families showing support for loved ones fighting the disease. Want something with more bling? Try a charm bracelet.

For your car

You can also express your support for those who are battling breast cancer with items for your vehicle. Survivor magnets are affordable and can be placed on the sides or back of your car. License plate frames are also inexpensive and highly visible. A breast cancer awareness keyring will make you think of the reason you stand up for the fight every time you pick up your keys.

Clothing

Also perfect for the month of October is clothing in pink with ribbons and phrases of strength and hope for those facing breast cancer. There are many items to choose from for both men and women who want to express their awareness, including hats, ties, socks, and sweatshirts. However, the most popular article of clothing by far is the breast cancer awareness T-shirt, which is available in different styles with a variety of supportive words and phrases.

Practical pink items

The color pink as the official color of breast cancer awareness has become so popular over the past few years that some unexpected – albeit practical – products can also be found in pink. Cookie cutters, flashlights, tote bags, and even toolkits are all available in pink, and provide unique and useful ways to support awareness. Pink ribbons can even be found adorning items that are both decorative and useful, like holiday ornaments or throw blankets.

Wherever your plans take you this October, don’t forget your pink ribbons and other accessories to show your support for the fight against breast cancer.
